Templates
Schedule Templates
- Because FieldConnect was designed for the new homebuilder, it’s very intuitive and as easy as 1-2-3 to begin creating construction schedules and tracking progress.
- Effective scheduling starts with the schedule templates. Any number of templates can be created to account for all your variances – by plan, community,County or even seasonal differences.
- Set-up trades and assign contractors to a trade – and a trade can have multiple contractors – including by phase.
- Milestones – highlighting particular construction points – can be created so summary reports are easily available.
- And, you’re able to create a user-defined work week and holiday schedule. Some projects may have 6-day work weeks and other may work the standard 5-day.
- Once the Template is created, schedule individual lots by inputting the start date. FieldConnect calculates every task’s scheduled date, assigns the contractor and calculates the completion date. You’re ready to start tracking and recording progress!

- FieldConnect offers a PDA interface, WalkWrite, so your Field Managers can track and record progress on the job site.
- WalkWrite puts the power of the desktop into your Field Manager's hands!
- Field Managers are able to view information regarding the lot, contractor and homebuyer – as well as track and record progress for all the scheduled tasks.
- If the activity starts and completes in one day – a single click is all that is required to record progress.
- Need contractor information? Check WalkWrite for the contact name, phone or fax!
- Has a defect been located? Schedule a punch item!
- Need to reschedule a task? Field Managers can be provided with “reschedule” privileges and can reschedule an individual task – or recalculate the entire remaining schedule. Or.. rescheduling may be controlled by the main office.
- Tasks can be rescheduled – or the entire schedule recalculated.
- The day’s results are synchronized back with the main office at the end of the day – reports can be generated and the Field Manager’s PDA is updated with new activities.
- FieldConnect can also schedule and track option/upgrades.
- The Field Manager can check what options have been ordered – and adjust the schedule for items such as hardwood floors, den conversions, etc.
- WalkWrite runs on ALL PALM O/S and POCKET PC PDA’s – and you’re able to use modem, cradle or wireless synchronization to connect to SQL FieldConnect.

- Reporting is where FieldConnect really shines! A wide variety of reports – for Field Mangagers, Construction Management, Contractors, and even Homebuyers – are available.
- Most reports have extensive print parameters – how far forward to you want to look? Include all phases or just one phase? All communities?
- Detailed reports display a community’s construction progress by a wide variety of checkpoints.
- Use the multi-week report to inform contractors of what tasks are scheduled to be completed in the next week, two weeks, month (actually, whatever timeframe you’d like to look!) – and send it via email, fax, or hard copy!
- Take a look at the completed items report to see all tasks that have been completed.
- Pull up the Milestone Report to view progress by summary milestones.
- Use FieldConnect to review contractor performance, as well
- How many times has Jones HVAC rescheduled? Are tasks being completed to schedule? Why are estimated completion dates being rescheduled? All available via email, fax, or hard copy!
