Award Winning SalesTouch Interactive Sales Tool at IBS 2008
Sacramento, CA - February 12, 2008 – Homebuilders now have the ability to move beyond the standard, static topo table to a real-time, interactive display designed to actively engage sales office visitors from the minute they enter the builder’s sales office – or stop at a shopping mall.
“We were thrilled to have SalesTouch recognized as a Cool Product at the 2007 PCBC in San Francisco. Now, builders nationwide will have the chance to see SalesTouch this week at NAHB’s International Builders Show in Orlando,” says Bob Musa, President of Computer Presentation Systems. “Our booth was never quiet. People stopped in the aisle and then reversed direction to see SalesTouch in action. They kept coming back. We’re looking forward to the same reaction at IBS – particularly since SalesTouch is now in shopping malls offering an entirely new builder marketing experience.”
SalesTouch utilizes the latest in touch screen technology to present new home communities in an entirely new and interactive manner. Offered in a table, wall mount or free standing kiosk format, SalesTouch allows sales office visitors to tour the community map, floor plans, elevations and option possibilities – virtually. And, prospects can make selections, register their interest and print customized brochures or sign-up for an e-brochure.
“Today’s homebuyer wants their buying experience to offer a way to touch, sense and relate to the product from the moment they walk into the sales office,” Musa continued, “and what differentiates SalesTouch from a collection of images displayed on a large screen is not only its interactive nature but the fact that it is data driven – constantly updated with the latest inventory, sales prices, and option/upgrade possibilities. SalesTouch pulls homebuyers into the builder’s sales process as they’re able to mix, match and select a specific home site, home plan and desired options.”
SalesTouch is built upon Microsoft’s .NET 3.0 Framework with its unparalleled visual presentation capabilities and the ability to deploy an application on the desktop or hosted in a web browser. Chris Lott, CPS’ Product Development Specialist, says, “Using the latest .NET technology coupled with Microsoft’s SQL Server database allows us to present large volumes of data in an extremely visually appealing and easy-to-use fashion. Everyone who sees SalesTouch wants to explore and find out more; it is experiential marketing for today’s homebuyer. And, the shopping mall installations put information in front of thousands of buyers who might not have thought to visit a homebuilder’s sales office.”
SalesTouch is offered as a complete, turnkey system to homebuilders including desired display hardware (table, wall mount or kiosk), touch screen monitor, duplex capable color laser printer, software and installation services.
Computer Presentation Systems has been providing software to the homebuilding industry since 1985. Offering sales, construction scheduling and warranty/customer service software products, CPS has developed a reputation for innovative, cost-effective software backed by outstanding service and support.

SQLWarrantyWatcher – Building Customer Satisfaction
San Francisco, CA - May 26, 2005 - Today, builders realize customer satisfaction is more than location, plan or even price; it is based on creating – and maintaining -- a positive relationship between the homebuyer, the buying process and the builder’s entire operation. The relationship process starts with the first visit to the sales office and continues through warranty/customer service operations. Post-closing customer service can no longer be considered an afterthought; it is a critical part of the homebuyer relationship.
Homebuyers want their service issues recognized and handled quickly and efficiently. Computer Presentation Systems’ SQL WarrantyWatcher integrates and automates the customer service process – from first contact to final resolution – and allows builders to deliver the service their homebuyers expect – efficiently and cost-effectively. Customer service staff receive homebuyer requests – whether by phone, email or the Internet -- and issue an immediate confirmation to the homebuyer. Builders are also prompted to send proactive notices advising homeowners of warranty time periods and processes. All the sales and construction data – buyer information, closing dates, selected options and upgrades, subcontractor history – is previously input so the builder is ready to route the request to the customer service technician for evaluation and quick resolution.
What takes SQLWarrantyWatcher from a software application to a real time, customer service tool is SQLWalkWrite. The homeowner request and all necessary homeowner and subcontractor data are available at the service tech’s fingertips via a Palm O/S- or Pocket PC-based PDA. The tech doesn’t need to go into the office to pick-up paperwork, wait for a fax or carry binders and notebooks. They’re able to remain on the job-site and receive homeowner requests, determine whether or not the item is warrantable and issue Work Orders to subcontractors – all via their PDA. Need to contact a homeowner or sub? All contact numbers are available, immediately. Want to include special comments on the Work Order? Use WalkWrite’s builder-specific dropdown lists – or create a custom note on the PDA. Cycle times are reduced, carry rates are increased and, most importantly, the homebuyer experience is enhanced by proactive customer service and prompt request resolution.
The integrated and real-time nature of SQLWarrantyWatcher and WalkWrite provide additional benefits with the ability to track and analyze common service issues. WarrantyWatcher has an extensive reporting module and contains both operational and management-level reports. Builders are better able to track and analyze service issues – as well as evaluate suppliers and subcontractors – in real time with SQLWarrantyWatcher's Performance Analysis features.
Computer Presentation Systems is a leading provider of computer software to the new home industry. Celebrating its 20-year anniversary at PCBC, CPS has developed a reputation for innovative, cost-effective software backed by outstanding service and support. SQLWarrantyWatcher is a part of CPS’ single database, integrated SQLSuite –which includes SQLSalesBuilder, SQLScheduleBuilder, FieldConnect and CPS Collaborate. CPSCollaborate posts warranty requests and work orders to the Internet. Homeowners are able to submit and review the status of their requests; subcontractors can receive warranty request work orders directly from the builder’s website. All user name and password protected, of course.
CPS is an exhibitor at PCBC, June 15-18, in San Francisco at the Moscone Center. CPS will demonstrate SQLWarrantyWatcher and WalkWrite – as well as all other SQLSuite software products.

Construction Scheduling Anywhere/Anytime -- CPS’ FieldConnect Impresses at Microsoft’s US Services Lab
San Francisco, CA June 1, 2005 - Are you a homebuilder interested in improved carry rates, decreased cycle times and improved subcontractor communications? Construction scheduling software can provide the tools to make homebuilding operations more effective and efficient. Interested in the Internet’s ‘anytime/anywhere’ capabilities but concerned about processing speed, response times and hardware requirements? Take a look at Computer Presentation Systems’ FieldConnect and review performance results developed at Microsoft’s US Services Lab.
Computer Presentation Systems developed FieldConnect as a thin client, browser-based scheduling application designed as an alternative to its ScheduleBuilder software. Every authorized user within a homebuilder’s organization has immediate access – via desktop or PDA – to schedules, subcontractor information, recalculation requests and reports. “Builders wanted to ‘open up’ their scheduling world and make it available to anyone – from anywhere -- at anytime,” says Troy Warr, CPS’ Product Development Specialist. “We took ScheduleBuilder’s design concepts and enhanced them, added Microsoft SQLServer’s database reliability and incorporated Internet access. The result is a powerful, centralized scheduling tool accessible by field managers, office staff, management personnel and subcontractors.
FieldConnect was designed to meet the needs of the nation’s high volume, production builders. Some builders might be concerned that a software application totally dependent on the Internet may have difficulty performing ‘under load.’ CPS and one of its production homebuilder clients took FieldConnect to Microsoft’s Las Colinas, TX US Services Lab for load testing in February 2005. Builder assumptions included 70,000 annual production home starts with 150 tasks per home. Testing doubled the volume of records -- that’s 21 million annual construction tasks! Testing also assumed 4,800 Field Managers and 230 expeditors and office staff. Tests ran for over 2 weeks and the results were outstanding: FieldConnect managed the load of 447,720 web requests per hour -- including 3,000 schedule recalculations, over 1,000 PDA synchronizations, 350 new home schedule creations and 5,720 reports. All the tasks were performed with an error rate of less than .0001%.
Robert Musa, CPS’ President, says “High volume builders have been telling us ‘anywhere/anytime’ scheduling seems appealing; however, they’ve all been concerned about speed and hardware requirements. We knew FieldConnect’s features – anywhere/anytime access, lot-by-lot scheduling, drag and drop operations, recalculation options and extensive reporting – were what builders wanted from the next generation of scheduling software. Having Microsoft’s US Services Lab verify performance results under load validates FieldConnect’s Internet scheduling capabilities.”

CPSCollaborate and SQLSalesBuilder : Taking Builder Communication to the Next Level:
Sacramento, CA - January, 2004 – In need of a software program that will help sell homes faster and more efficiently? Computer Presentation Systems, Inc. has been helping agents sell more homes in less time for 20 years with the SalesBuilder software solution. For 20 years, CPS has updated SalesBuilder and released several versions, but never with the power and new internet capabilities of the new SQL SalesBuilder.
Now equipped with the power of the internet, SQL SalesBuilder allows lenders 24/7 internet access to update and maintain loan programs and rates. With 24/7 internet access, agents can input and update prospect information and follow-up possibilities from anywhere that has an internet connection. SQL SalesBuilder is not a “thin client” application, so sales offices can work offline and sync back with the SQL database when a connection is available.
SQL SalesBuilder is a SQL based sales management program that is designed for use at homebuilder sales offices, design centers and division/corporate offices.
SalesBuilder is designed to enhance the new home selling process by offering plan, lot, and option upgrade information all under one system. The software pre-qualifies prospective homebuyers and prepares easy to read prospect information. It also offers cross selling functionality and displays floor plans, elevations, option/upgrade drawings and photographs for easy reference when an agent wants to show a prospective buyer.
SalesBuilder also helps agents maintain a strong relationship with prospective buyers by offering targeted follow-up via phone, letter and email. It collects detailed prospect information so all of the buyer info is right there on the screen so agents don't have to search through files of papers to find their prospective buyer and know exactly what they are looking for. It also offers integration with homebuilder's websites allowing for consumer input as well, so the builder can have some feedback on how well the process of selling the home went for the consumer.
When a sales agent has found a home for a prospective buyer, SalesBuilder prepares and prints sales documents, including Purchase Agreement, Job Initiation Order and Escrow Instructions with all of the information already input to the documents. All the agent has to do is find the buyer’s information and click to print all of the sales documents. It provides lenders with 24/7 internet access to update and maintain loan programs and rates as well as for prospect input and follow-up, keeping agents, lenders, and prospective buyers updated and under one roof.
SQL SalesBuilder is software made for sales agents. It tracks and records the sales process so the agent doesn't have to deal with hundreds of files of paper work. It has all of the lots and plans for the community under one system so an agent can show dozens of homes to a prospective buyer in a matter of minutes. Builders across the country have implemented the software and have never looked back.
Computer Presentation Systems, Inc. will be displaying the new SQL SalesBuilder at the 2004 PCBC in San Francisco. For more information and access to downloads and trial software, visit the CPS website at www.cpsusa.com.
